MING LING came to EDINBURGH!!!! it was so good to see a familiar face! i miss her so much! i wish all 8 of us can meet up soon! (but not possible as i wont be going back anytime soon.. sob :(..therefore this is a good chance for you all to visit me!!!! yippee!!!! )
09/12/2007- DAY ONE
gal arrived today!!! i was so happy and excited that i'll be seeing her so soon. we've been planning this for months and finally we get to meet!
went to Waverly Station to pick her up. When she got out from the station she was soooo cold....extremely cold. (gal this is for not wearing proper clothing.. :P)
straight after that we came back to the flat to put her stuff and rest for a wee while. And then we went to Gorebridge---> my cousin's house for dinner (steamboat..yummy) it was katharine's birthday! so all went well and both of us were soo full. and we had desert as well! cake with icing and marzipan!
it was such a cold night and i really salute gal as she can really stand the cold!!! my teeth were chattering .....gosh!

we woke up quite late today! HOWEVER, we did something very interesting today! we went to ROYAL MILE (well walked 1/4 of it..not too bad...as gal is super lazy!!! :P ) and this place is super interesting EDINBURGH CASTLE!!!!! it's a place everyone MUST visit!!!!! we took the whole day to walk around the castle! imagine how big it is and it is on top a the hill. well almost~ and it was freezing cold!

royal mile (the top part)apparently the history about the royal mile is that the prisoners that escaped will be freed if they can run down the royal mile ( it's a mile long..obviously) without being caught by the guards. it's one hell of a long way and you've got to run damn fast! if the prisoners are caught they'll be executed! :o[
that's the fair for HOGMANAY! and CHRISTMAS!then after the castle we went to the german market!!! not much to see but lots to eat! hahahah
we had so much fun..later that night had dinner with my spanish flatmate. he cooked carbonara pasta for us! it was yummy but too bad we cant really enjoy it as we were sooooo full from the chips and burger as well as hot choc from the german market!
